MY Poly, my School

HAHA this title sounds weird. Anyway National day is coming, and so the theme kinda fits. Now to talk about my school. I've been admitted to Singapore poly since april this year which is 2009. You can say that school life is different and i've made alot of new friends. School life is different --> More freedom, the teachers will seldom nag at you to complete ur homeworks and the breaks are longer as compared to secondary school daze. As for my friends, i have a recent class photo of everyone. I koped it from my class blog haha, evil me there... encountered some problem in the image format but managed to use paint to solve it... CHIK - KERS. Here ya go
fun and laughter as you can see... opps, sorry for the middle finger from my friend.
But there are also stressed times in school. For example the legendary presentation i have to give....

Missing Prison Break and Absolute Boyfriend

Hi folks! I see the blog has been inactive lately.. Plus i am tired of looking at the photo comparisons of everyone. Time for some therapeutic words from the wise one.

We've been busy these few weeks watching tv serials. PRISON BREAK and ABSOLUTE BOYFRIEND. It's been less than a week since the final episodes for both shows. I am already having a little withdrawal symptoms.

Here's a little tribute to PRISON BREAK:

I actually made the flower too but it's really ugly. The instruction video was a little blur towards the end part. I have the sample stuffed into a shot glass on my work desk. Ooo...

And I found a four-leaf clover from a small shop called Casual Poet (in Chinatown). Ooo...

I have set the lovely photo of Knight and Riiko as my msn photo for now. Hahaa.. Have forgotten all about Soushi..

As a concluding paragraph, some last thoughts. Since the season finales, I am finally able to lie in bed before 11pm on Tues-Thurs. And no need to stay up till 1.30am on Sat nights to keep myself awake to watch Knight. Like what Mr Ong would say during Sports Day back in my (and Ortoo's) Sennett Primary School days, ''Hip-hip-hip HURRAY!!!'' (repeat phrase thrice)

DJ's last Pig Out 13-Jul-09

Hi folks. Today was a boring day at work. I was bored to tears for half my day after lunch. I decided to read my Origen21 blog then arrange my 1001 emails. Don't query me on the outcome. Cos at the end of the day, my inbox's still a mess. Oh, the old online diary that I kept was so full of crap. Thanks Too for being the sole subscriber to it. It's quite a good read, right? I added a new entry. So go sink your eyes into it. Or have you lost the link already? I vaguely remember you mention you'll stop reading cos I have no new entries. Hahaa. Ok, better stop making this entry like my usual style (filled with drab words).

Anyway~ This evening was a little traumatic. Wrecking every neurone (brain cell) to think of a dinner place with GT. Eating Sai-(zeriya) a.k.a. the one and only outlet of the ubiquitous (to be found everywhere) Japanese Italian restaurant was alright. I reiterate (repeat) "Sai is fine" but he somehow could sense a little resentment in my voice. I am willing to settle. Sigh. I am bored with food. [Digress (bring you away from the main point): I am now quite anti-food. Have gained weight. Though not overweight yet. But I feel so lumpy. So bulgy, so wobbly, so yucks. Can't fit into clothes as well. Darn.]

Ok. Ok. Here are photos and narration!!

Chanced upon this restaurant in Central @ Clarke Quay. Seoul Yummy.

Nice decor. Quite ambience (Soft korean drama OSTs - 200 pound beauty, Flowers boys and many more). Ah.. Fantastic tree..

It almost seems he's enjoying himself. Having a whiskey neat. Hahaa.. Free flow of hot/cold korean barley tea. More like malt tea. I loved mine hot.

Later to think about what to have for dinner..

What a long list we had!

I have to admit that I loved the groundnuts. I detest (dislike) peanuts. Strange that I have developed a liking for the cheapest food on Earth. Remember the falling peanuts text. Jape, we'll teach u so that you know this terrible joke.

Gavin's main. Strange my mouth watered when I looked at the photo. Quite delish.

A potato pancake side dish. That's green chilli sliced sitting on top of each quarter. Reminds me of the fateful ham-ching-pang event. Lying motionless in the toilet. Bile up and down. Lying on the arabian/persian/pakistan floor mat. Shudders.

My main. Buckwheat noodles cold and spicy. My kind of food. Easy to slurp down. The noodles are at the bottom of the ingredients pile. A little anyhow-made. Like out of shape. But I liked it.

A pork dumpling side dish. Thick skin. Wierd rubbery texture.

I loved this one. Beef slices on a cheese layered pancake. Yum! But this was also the killer. By now, a normal person would have been 80% full. This would tip the balance over 120% full.

This last dessert was served a little after. Wonderful presentation. Even my sides were bursting at the seams literally (in true meaning of the words). I have to find delicate room in my stomach to stuff this lovely item. Waffle~ The ice-cream was a surprise.

I was expecting vanilla to fill my palate (oral cavity / mouth / buccal cavity). But my taste buds were momentarily challenged. Had the vanilla gone bad? Sour. Then it hit home. It was Yoghurt Ice-Cream. Reminded me of Yoguroh which I did not sample. Eh. But the wierd thing is that the ice-cream is a bit siap-siap. Strange again.

:) This is the official last Pig-Out for me. :)

Stay tuned for another round of confessions of the Eat-aholic. Now I am remorseful. I must reflect and remember.

Target: To lose 2kgs.

Bowling at Kallang Leisure Park

Last Saturday, GT, DJ, Chip n Too went to Kallang Leisure Park to.. yes.. bowl. We got down to biz real soon, and finished our first round with the following scores:

DJ-60

Too-41

Chip-99

Gavin-125

Then it was an all-guys game, with Chippy battling it out with GT.

How come GT's a "same-hand-same-foot" style? Wow. Good shot. I didn't know till now. Well, at least the butt is not jutting out like mine.. hahaa, this style is kind of like a flagging starfish. Remind me (DJ) to work on my pose when i release the ball next time.

Chip also gave his all in the game, trying out the "curve ball" in some of his throws.

I have to term Jape's release to be like rolling out the THUNDER-BALL. It really is ground-breaking. Hope the floorboards of SP's bowling lanes can withstand the high impact.

And Jape, do be careful of your fingers. Don't strain, k?

And how come there're not photos of the "Little Miss" Too? hahaa, no pun intended.

I loved her release style. The ball follows the trajectory (motion of a curve) of her arm swing. It flies a little then falls to the ground. Wow. Too, you sure are strong to really throw the bowling ball. And... ~STOP TELLING ME TO USE THE DULL ORANGE BALL~ hahaa

As usual, the next pit stop is to the arcade where Jape shows off his prowess. Oh, the usual. B-ball's the craze. First time i see Jape using both left and right hands in-turn to grab and throw. Is that the highest level already? Jape, u have mastered the art already. What's next?

Jape also reigned the most barbaric strongman in the arcade centre. High score of 919. Sustained minor glass cut and flattened specs. All blood and sweat man. Okay, maybe a bit of blood and a lot of cold sweat. On top of that, all glory. So manly~ (*pukes*)
