Mom, Jape and me went to EXPO for the Food Fair. We sort of detoured a little. We went to get cheap branded tees (Mom actually got 2 for $14). Then we went to the MPH sale where we saw BaoRu and QiongHui. Their family wanted to go to the food fair too. Just happened to see the book sale. I was crazy and got 2 travel books (Seoul and Bangkok), novels (Digital Fortress and Confessions of a Shopoholic), a good read (Nature vs Nuture) and a little silly Simpsons book for u. Er, I'll not get those next time. I sort of promised myself. I guess it was a habit that stuck. I will repent. Hahaa..
Finally we got to the FOOD FAIR. Mom headed straight to order the soy milk powder by the cartons. We had the impression they have delivery. Somehow this pretty woman comes over and says we have to carry it back ourselves. Sheesh. Anyway, not to worry, cos we have muscles on our side (Jape and my DFR can rise to the occasion, I mean, raise the load).
We took quite a bit of silly photos.
I wonder if this kid with the swollen bald head (like a chemo-patient, oh gosh) happens to be the mascot of Meidi-ya the Japanese supermarket found at Clarke Quay's Liang Court.
Next we saw Dad's Satay stall (yikes! Wrong spelling again.. This joins Rasi Roma and 水鬼.. hahaa)
I simply loved the compact washing machine. Good to get for me as a Christmas/Birthday present (HINT HINT!!!) aiyah.. kidding only. I can't fit my clothes into it!!
This one is hilarious even Jape cannot contain himself. Aunties having a ball of their time with head massager. Go figure. Maybe they are too overworked and underpaid. This is their way of relieving stress of the everyday life.
I love this shot too. Our very own "dao-ni" boy has found his pot of gold. Except it's dairy milk. Nevertheless, it's a HUGMONGOUS carton and I think that can just enough fill his tum.
Last but not least, a pictorial evidence of the transportation of the soy milk powder Mom purchased. Jape was still spinning around like a top and jumping here and there. Ok ok. I'm seriously lagging behind and to pass the time, I just took photos. As usual. Mom! Wait up!
We went home TIRED but HAPPY!!
